FAQ

Q: Does it work without internet?
KlynxReach requires an internet connection for the AI responses (Claude API) and voice transcription (Whisper). All other UI features work offline.
Q: Does it store my voice recordings?
Audio is sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription only. The resulting text is saved to your command history on our secure servers. Raw audio is never stored.
Q: What assistive technology does it work with?
KlynxReach is designed to complement — not replace — existing AT. It works alongside screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), eye trackers, and switch interfaces.
Q: Is it free?
The web app at reach.klynxai.com is free to use. The desktop app installer (Mac + Windows) is also free. Advanced features and higher AI usage limits are available on paid plans.
Q: Which Mac and Windows versions are supported?
Mac: macOS 11 Big Sur or later (Intel + Apple Silicon). Windows: Windows 10 or later (64-bit).
Q: Can I use it without setting up a disability profile?
Yes. The onboarding profile is optional — skip it and all 6 input modes are available in the app. The profile just pre-selects your preferred mode.
